Seen many at the rally, questioning the vulcan club, after seeing our patches on our backs... they did not realize there was a Vulcan Organization. Passed along the web-site, may see new members

Several years ago we were in Hawaii so I deceided to rent a bike. Not much available in the meteric cruiser line,I settled on a harley duce. I told the guy in Honolulu I was canadian and I didn't have my drivers license with me. he stated he just needs my visa, can you beleive that.  The going rate was $150 a day, insurance included, 8 hour day 8-4. I got it for $100 a day for two days. There are no helmet laws there and the traffic in Honolulu was crazy, they give you a map but that's hard to follow when riding a bike. When I got out of the city I drove around the island.  The north shore was incredible, good roads  I made numerous stops,Doyle plantation, sunset beach, the pipeline.had a swim.Pearl Harbour etc. A ride one will never forget ,PRICELESS.  The worst ride was last year driving home from Laconia, two days of heavy rain. I am sure there some good stories out there so lets have them.

The most "memorable" was riding from Queensville to Keswick. Ont.

where there is a long downhill then a dip followed by an uphill rise.

Going up the little rise you cannot see what might come up over the

top toward you. What came over the top at me, taking up both

lanes, were two cars having a race. I lost and the bike went in for

replacement parts. The racers didn't stop. No injury rather to the

driver, me, luckily no passenger. New bars, mirror, clutch lever,

    front fender, etc.

the most memorable was the very first time on a bike. Never rode any and purchased a 84 RM250, what a rush that was and have yet to duplicate. Would not shift out of 1st gear the whole day, scared the crap out of me. After thatit was W.O.T. or nothing. First times are always hard to forget good or bad.

Ride defensively. I've seen how others drive.

wow...most memorable...wife and i were on our 77 yamaha xs500d. june 1980. decided to take a ride to the white mountains in new hampshire. i fashioned a makeshift rack for my luggage rack to hold the old coleman stove, pots, dinnerware, catalytic tent heater, tent, sleeping bags etc.! i had put nice hard removeable luggage bags on the bike, but no windshield. in fact, the backrest was secured to the luggage rack with hose clamps...

maine, vermont, new hampshire...landscape perfect for two-wheel touring. after a few days, our vacation was cut short...not by weather, but by a motorist that had no love for motorcyles. wife on the back, bike loaded down with gear, and this guy pulls out to pass us, but didnt...he started yelling profanities, and shaking his fist yelling at us to go back to canada. i pulled on to the dirt shoulder so he would just take off, but he didnt, he slowed and drove beside us yelling. so i had enough, gunned it with the plan of leaving him far behind..trouble was, i was on dirt...bike took off, but back tire began to break loose and finally the bike went down on its side...he pulled up beside us again, laughing and shaking his fist then was gone. i hurt my knee, bent the shifter, wife had cuts and scrapes and still has a pebble under the skin in finger! cops came by in time not to have seen anything but the bike down! wanted to take us to the hospital..i wasnt leaving the bike! i kicked and bent the shifter enough to get it to work. i followed my wife in the cop car (ya! no ambulance!!) to the hospital. next day headed home on the bike but my knee was so sore, we ended up renting a pickup and taking the bike home in the back of it!
